I pray God’s abundant grace and blessings over you and yours!
Here we are at the end of another year and as I look back over 2024, I am filled with gratitude for what has been accomplished and with excitement for what is ahead. Thank you for every way you have partnered with us. You are a BLESSING!
This has been a year of growth and challenge for both my ministry and my personal life . . .
Personally, our family has welcomed two amazing, beautiful, and healthy grandchildren - Samson (March 12th) and Emmie (September 12th). All of you grandparents were correct . . . grands are the BEST! Kathryn and I are head-over-heels in love and we cherish every moment we get with these gifts from God.
Also, this year, I said goodbye to my eldest sibling, Steve, who went to be with Jesus on September 7th, and also to my father, Denzil, who went to be with Jesus on October 11th. So, as you can imagine, we’ve experienced significant emotional highs and lows this year. Many thanks to all of you who have prayed us through all of these things!
This letter and year-end-report is primarily about Shannon Smith Ministries so the rest of this will focus on that. Because God has brought several financial supporters around us, I believe it is important to give an account of my activities and share the vision God has given me. Therefore, I have listed some statistics in an attempt to quantify what I have done this year. In nearly every area, the numbers have increased over the previous year so I believe things are trending in the right direction. I am daily seeking the Lord for wisdom, for direction, for divine connections and divine appointments, and for His way of fulfilling His call on my life. I am excited for where He will lead in 2025!
I wrote this statement in last year’s report but I want to include it again as a way of sharing the heart of this ministry: “I am passionate about sharing the beauty of Jesus and the life-changing power of His Word through music and the spoken word. This is a “presence of God” ministry and what He does in people’s lives while they are in His presence is priceless! His Word and His Presence experienced through the medium of music have revolutionized my life and I believe they are key to God’s kingdom plan in these last days!”
As you read, I would ask you to prayerfully consider if the Lord would have you partner with me (or continue to) as I follow Him in faith. We have much to accomplish and I want to invite you along on this adventure with God. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

What’s been accomplished in 2024
73 events (17 were either volunteer or not financially beneficial)
Traveled to 15 different states (32,000 miles)
Purchased a 2020 Tiffin Wayfarer RV (This has revolutionized my life on the road! Thank you to everyone who has been and continues to be a part of this project.)
2 TV tapings (Josh & Ashley Show and Atlanta LIVE at the studios of TV-57 in Atlanta, GA)
4 Live streaming broadcasts with Minister of Encouragement, Bobby Williams
Recorded vocals for 5 of the songs to be included on an upcoming recording
Released the single, Through, in October 2024 (available on streaming platforms)
Released the lyric video, Through, in October 2024
Wrote and released my first book, Through: the devotional, in October 2024
Released the single, O Holy Night, in November 2024 (available on streaming platforms)
Released the lyric video, O Holy Night, in November 2024
Taught voice lessons and classes at Charles Novel School of Music at Murray State University, Murray, KY in July 2024
Preached and sang for a multi-day revival meeting in October 2024
Received testimonies of 2 people that were physically healed at my ministry events (one was verified by a doctor)
13 monthly financial supporters
48 different one-time or intermittent financial supporters
It’s difficult to quantify the spiritual results but suffice it to say that the Lord has used this ministry to lead people to Christ and to comfort, strengthen, and encourage many in their walk with Him.
What’s next…
In 2025 I want to see the ministry expand in the following ways:
100 events (some pay for themselves; some make “ministry sense” but not “financial sense” - i.e. prisons, missions trips, some smaller churches, etc.)
Release a full recording of original songs (scheduled 1st quarter of 2025)
Release a Christmas album for late 2025
Release lyric videos of the new songs (and probably some concept videos as well)
Expand social media knowledge outreach
Create an online community with LIVE music, devotionals, and prayer
Release at least one devotional book
Add at least 50 NEW monthly partners (goal is at least $5000/month in support)
Make at least one international trip (“sing His praise to the ends of the earth”).
Pay off sound equipment and office equipment
Add staff to help on the road and in the office (multi-faceted role)
