Dear Friend,
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
I am praying these verses over my partners and friends during these days. I pray that you will be encouraged to put and keep your trust in the Lord which, according to these verses, will eliminate fear and anxiety and in their place will bring stability and fruitfulness to your life regardless of what is going on around you. Thank You, Jesus, for this powerful word!
Long overdue update . . .
So I won’t make any excuses . . . it has, indeed, been too long since I have communicated. All I can say is that this summer and fall have been unlike any I have ever experienced! I will try not to make this too long, but I do want to update you on my ministry activities and also share some family news.
Ministry Update
Since my last newsletter, I have been quite busy with ministry events each month. My travels have taken me to Oklahoma (twice), Kentucky (twice), West Virginia (twice), Tennessee, Alabama (twice), Pennsylvania, Georgia, Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. In addition to typical ministry events, I’ve had a few unusual (for me) opportunities - I was on staff at the Charles Novell School of Music for a week this summer teaching private and group voice lessons, I led the music for an old-fashioned camp meeting, I held a revival meeting in which I did both speaking and singing, and I led the music for multi-day retreat. I am not overstating when I tell you that the Holy Spirit has touched many lives in a powerful way through these ministry events! I have seen people born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, as well as encouraged and inspired in powerful ways. You are such a significant part of all of these things and I want you to know that together, we are making a difference as we glorify God and inspire people to know Him and His goodness!
The new RV has been such a blessing throughout the thousands of miles on the road and has enabled me to avoid hotel expense and many travel related headaches. Kathryn has been with me on many of these trips and we thank each of you that have partnered with us financially (and continue to) on the transportation project!
We have recorded tracks for 9 more songs and I am scheduled to record vocals on those over the next few weeks. I am a co-writer on 3 of the songs and I am so excited to share an album of wonderful songs. I will be releasing more singles off of the album over the next few months and then plan to have a full album ready to be released in early 2025!
Speaking of recording, I also have recorded a new Christmas single that I will be releasing in just a few weeks. I’m not yet revealing what song I’ve recorded but I will say that it is a classic Christmas carol that many have requested. Stay tuned to my social media and you’ll be the first to know which song I’ll be sharing with you and when!
Through: the devotional
As I mentioned above, on October 11th, I released a new single, Through. This is a song that I co-wrote with 2 amazing musicians and writers here in Nashville. If you haven’t heard the song yet, I encourage you to check it out on any streaming platform and be blessed! I truly believe the Holy Spirit inspired and directed us in the writing and recording of this song and I know that many people all over the world need this message. I would ask you to share it with your family, friends, and anyone else you can think of!
I believe in the message of this song so strongly that I sensed the Holy Spirit leading me to expand on it by writing a 7-day devotional on the same theme. Everyone is or will be going through something and I want to encourage people in every way that I can. This book is chock-full of Scripture and also includes some of my personal testimony. I know it will be a blessing to you and all who read it!
Family news
So . . . we are in that interesting season of life where we are saying goodbye to some loved ones and hello to brand new loved ones. Through it all, God is faithful and good!
